James Brandmair Becomes SCLP's New Vice Chairman

After Travis McCurry's sudden resignation on June 24, 2017, the South Carolina Libertarian Party's Executive Committee voted on his replacement on July 8, 2017 in order to fill out his term until November 4, 2017.

James Brandmair of Lexington County won on the second round of ballots with 5 votes to his opponent's 4 votes and 1 abstention. The first round ended in a tie (5 to 5).

James has been active with the South Carolina Libertarian Party and Libertarian campaigns for several years and became the Lexington County's State Committeeman to the State Executive Committee on April 22nd.

James has been reading Libertarian Leadership: Planting the Seed for a Libertarian Future by C. Michael Pickens and has been working diligently in growing the party, laying the groundwork to organize more county clubs and recruiting candidates with the ultimate goal of having Libertarian candidates winning elections.
